Meet Rania Khalil, DVM

Dr. Rania Khalil grew up in California and was inspired to pursue veterinary medicine by her family and the pets she loved as a child. Before becoming a veterinarian, she volunteered with her local animal shelter and local veterinarians. These experiences that shaped her passion for animals.

Dr. Khalil earned her undergraduate degree in Animal Science from California State Polytechnic University and received her veterinary degree from The Royal Veterinary College, University of London in 2021. She joined Absecon Veterinary Hospital in January 2026, with professional interests in emergency medicine and internal medicine.

​

For Dr. Khalil, the most rewarding part of her work is helping families through stressful moments, providing answers, creating a clear treatment plan, and seeing the relief that comes when their pet starts to feel better.

 

She is a member of the Veterinary Emergency Critical Care Society, the American Veterinary Medical Association, and IMPROVE Veterinary Education.

Outside of the hospital, Dr. Khalil enjoys reading, traveling, true crime shows, and outdoor adventures like hiking. She and her husband, Ramy share their home with three beloved cats: London, Kiri, and Crumbl!
