Absecon Veterinary Hospital has been a pillar in the community providing comprehensive veterinary care to Atlantic County and surrounding towns since 1980. We are a team of more than 120 doctors, technicians, assistants, client service representatives, and other support staff. Since 1980, our General Practice has offered wellness, sick, and surgery care to our client's pets. As an American Animal Hospital Association Accredited hospital for over 30 years, we work diligently to develop a care plan with clients that provides the highest standard of medicine and service to our patients. In 2022, our hospital obtained its Fear Free Certification, which means we practice Fear Free methods of handling and restraint of your pets to reduce their fear, anxiety, and stress at the vet. Our hospital is committed to exceptional treatment and preventative care that works to elevate your pet's quality of life.

 

In 2020, we proudly opened the doors of our emergency service and expanded our exotics care. Our emergency service acts as an extension of other primary care hospitals in the area, with the goal of supporting their teams by providing after-hours services and hospitalization. We work with these other hospitals in the area to ensure we have streamlined communication and continuity of care for clients and patients. If you have exotic pets (reptiles, birds, small mammals), we have trained team members ready to offer the same high level of care all of our patients receive.

 

As our hospital continues to grow, we keep our purpose as veterinary professionals in mind: offer exceptional service in collaboration with our pet parents to improve the lives of the pets we see. We will continue to stand by you and your pets - from their adoption dates to their passing with loved ones.
