Since 1980, Absecon Veterinary Hospital has been proud to serve Atlantic County and the surrounding communities with comprehensive, compassionate veterinary care. Today, our team of nearly 100 dedicated professionals—including doctors, technicians, assistants, client service representatives, and support staff—shares one mission:  BE EPIC  to Believe in...Empowerment, Empathy, Professionalism, Integrity, and Collaboration. These core values guide every decision we make and every interaction we have, and we want every client and patient who walks through our doors to feel their impact.

As an American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) Accredited facility for over 30 years,

our General Practice provides everything from routine wellness exams and

preventive care to advanced diagnostics, surgery, and treatment for illness or injury.

In 2022, we earned our Fear Free Certification, ensuring that our team uses gentle

handling techniques and stress-reducing methods to help pets feel more

comfortable during their visits. In 2020, we expanded our services to include a

fully staffed Emergency Department and broadened our exotics care program.

Our emergency service works in partnership with local primary care veterinarians

to provide after-hours care and hospitalization, ensuring seamless communication

and continuity for patients. Whether your pet is a dog, cat, bird, reptile, or small

mammal, our team is trained and equipped to deliver exceptional care.

We are committed to providing services in our community that might otherwise be hard to access. These include outpatient echocardiograms, outpatient ultrasounds, acupuncture, and mobile veterinary services—specialized offerings designed to make high-quality care more accessible to pets and their families without the need for long-distance travel.

Beyond medical care, we extend our mission into the community through our PAWSitive Impact Program (PIP), which brings together our outreach and charitable initiatives. PIP includes free vaccine clinics, pet CPR courses, disaster response support, educational programs for youth, pet-loss support groups, and therapy animal visits to hospitals, schools, and community organizations. One of PIP’s most heartfelt initiatives is Laddie’s Legacy, our non-profit created in memory of a beloved hospital cat, which provides financial assistance to help pets in need receive lifesaving or life-changing veterinary care. Through our PIP and Laddie’s Legacy, we work to strengthen the bond between pets and people while supporting those who might otherwise go without care.

At Absecon Veterinary Hospital, we’re honored to walk alongside you through every moment of your pet’s journey—from their first joyful adoption to their final days surrounded by love and dignity. Our promise is simple: to partner with you in creating the healthiest, happiest life possible for your beloved companion.

Everyone was kind, explained things with ease, and very comforting. They also got our skittish Shepard on an X-ray table! Every single person who helped us was amazing. Quick results and painless for the owners and dog.

“The staff at Absecon Vet Hospital are amazing... My dog has extreme anxiety, and they were so kind and patient with him... I’m so grateful!
