Meet Eli Parker, DVM

Dr. Eli Parker holds a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from UNC-Chapel Hill and earned his DVM from NC State College of Veterinary Medicine. He is a member of the AVMA.

Dr. Parker is a strong advocate for the One Health model, which emphasizes the interconnectedness of human, animal, and environmental health. He believes that achieving the best health outcomes for patients requires considering the overall well-being of their owners and households, including financial and mental factors.

With a keen interest in exotics and wildlife medicine, Dr. Parker is particularly passionate about wildlife rehabilitation and plans to continue pursuing this area throughout his career. Outside of his professional life, he enjoys cooking, with a focus on Indian and Mexican cuisines, and loves to hike and travel. His recent trips include visits to the Great Dismal Swamp and North Cascades National Park.

A fun fact about Dr. Parker is that he is left-handed and the son of two research veterinarians. He shares his home with three pets: Gus, an 11-year-old neutered male cat; Zoey, a 2-year-old spayed female cat he adopted during vet school; and Roger, a 7-year-old leopard gecko he adopted before beginning vet school.
