Meet Dr. Katharine Spring, VMD
Dr. Katherine Spring’s favorite part of being a veterinarian is working with a
veterinary team to perform diagnostics and therapy when a patient needs
urgent care. She enjoys providing client education, so they can play an active
role in the care of their pets. Lastly, she enjoys working with rescue groups to
prepare pets for their forever homes.
Dr. Spring grew up in Wells, Maine and graduated from Northeastern
University with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. There, she received
the Dean’s Scholarship and the Shapazian Scholarship. Dr. Spring attended
University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine and graduated in 2017
achieving her Veterinariae Medicinae Doctoris.

Dr. Spring is a Fear Free Certified Professional and a part of the American Veterinary Medical Association. Her professional interests include emergency medicine and internal medicine.
Dr. Spring lives with her fiancé, Michael, and their 7-year-old pit mix dog, Apollo. She traveled twice to Haiti to provide animal and herd-health care with Pou Sante Amar Haiti through a One Health approach to establish and support sustainable animal agriculture. In her leisure time, Dr. Spring loves hiking, kayaking, watching the Boston Bruins, and playing ultimate frisbee.
