Meet Dr. Caitlin Malone

Dr. Caitlin Malone grew up in the suburbs of New York City. Her childhood

home started out with two cats and quickly grew to include five cats

(after trips to the pet store on rescue adoption days resulted in coming

home with more than just kitty litter). Dr. Malone attended Binghamton

University for her undergraduate degree and graduated cum laude with

a degree in Integrative Neuroscience.

Following graduation, Dr. Malone worked in a neuroscience research lab and

as a veterinary assistant at a small animal clinic while spending her free time

volunteering at her local SPCA. Dr. Malone developed a passion for working with shy and fearful animals and was a member of the Shy Dog Collaborative. She attended Cornell University for veterinary school and was active in numerous organizations including the nutrition club, Veterinary Business Management Association, and Pet Loss Support Hotline. Dr. Malone has completed certifications in fear free and cat friendly medicine.

Dr. Malone’s professional interests include nutrition, surgery, and behavior medicine. Outside of veterinary medicine, she enjoys spending as much time as she can with her senior cat Snowflake, weightlifting, running, playing the guitar, board games, and baking
